News Release

Next Generation of Security Plus System Adds Win2000, XP

MacSema's, next generation of Security Plus System (SPSnet) guard tour tracking software is now available.  The program has been re-designed and is now compatible with Windows 2000, XP, NT 4.0 Windows ME as well as Win98.  The program is very easy to set up and can be used with any MacSema hand held.  Software upgrades are available for current users.

MacSema's SPS was designed to ensure that premises have been patrolled and generates custom reports to prove it. SPS is a very powerful, flexible and yet an easy  system to use.  It utilizes either bar codes or MacSema's
extremely durable ButtonMemory
®.

Each ButtonMemory contains a unique ID number.  The user touches the ButtonWand or ButtonReader to each button located at checkpoints on the tour.  With this touch, the date, time, user's name, location, Wand and Button serial numbers being checked are registered and held in the wand's memory.  The user may carry a note pad of buttons for adding comments applicable to a location such as "door unlocked, valve closed, temp high", etc.  This information in the wand is downloaded to a PC and the system generates reports to verify that your premises are being patrolled as well as alert you to any problem sites.  No more paper check lists to carry.  Instead, inspection information is downloaded electronically, and information such as verifiable audit trails and incidents can be easily searched on the PC.
