SUPPORT OFFERED FOR POCKET PC HANDHELDS

MacSema has successfully interfaced ButtonMemory® technology, using our ButtonLink™ read/write probe, with several Pocket PC/Windows CE 3.0 handhelds. This interface will allow users increased flexibility when choosing a handheld computer for their ButtonMemory based applications and will enable them to take advantage of the powerful features offered by these 70 series and hp iPAQ 3600, 3700, 3800, 3900 and 5400 handhelds.  Click Here

MacSema offers a Pocket PC/Windows CE 3.0 Software Developers Kit (SDK) to enable developers to build custom applications for these devices. The SDK includes the ButtonLink DLL that handles communication between the Pocket PC handheld and the ButtonLink probe and provides access to the files on the Button. The DLL can be called from any Windows CE development environment and requires Microsoft eMbedded Visual Tools 3.0 or higher. Sample programs/utilities, including eMbedded Visual Basic and eMbedded Visual C++ source code, are provided. A demonstration program that shows customers how they can use ButtonMemory technology to replace paper inspection and maintenance forms and facilitate asset tracking is included as well.

ButtonMemory Contact Memory Buttons (CMBs) are rugged, battery free, read/write data storage devices. When attached to an asset a CMB serves as a rugged identifier and as an updateable electronic logbook that enables configuration management, maintenance record keeping and other logistical support functions throughout the asset’s life cycle. ButtonMemory CMBs are available in a variety of physical sizes (MicroButton™MiniButton™ and MegaButton™ ) with memory capacities up to 8 megabytes.

ButtonMemory technology is impervious to most operating environments, including: temperature extremes, radiation, electrostatic discharge (ESD), electromagnetic interference (EMI), electromagnetic pulse (EMP), shock, vibration, solvents and saltwater.
