MacSema’s announces the addition of their new ButtonReader BR3050 which offers improved battery performance, data capacity and speed. This rugged data collector reads and updates data stored on Button Memory^® and supports applications such as inspection, maintenance, configuration management, life cycle tracking, calibration, and fire and safety inspection. ButtonMemory are battery-free, read/write, data storage devices used to identify assets.

The ButtonReader 3050 is easy to use, just touch a ButtonMemory and the data is displayed. The user can scroll through and enter additional information. Another touch leaves updated information such as who did what, and when, on the Button. All transactions are time stamped and a copy of each button’s data is stored securely in FLASH memory for later transfer to a PC. 8 MB offers much greater data collection capacity and retains the data even when the battery is changed.

The Lithium Polymer battery with smart circuitry does away with past battery issues. It works 3 times longer than the earlier version, offers extended shelf life and charges in only 3 hours. Users appreciate the battery level icon and battery status feedback. The connection to the charging station has been changed for greater reliability.

The ButtonReader 3050, the size of a deck of cards, fits comfortably in your hand or pocket. Housed in an aluminum case, it survives multiple 4-foot drops and is resistant to harsh environments. The ButtonReader is available in a variety of configurations to meet user requirements.
