OVERVIEW

MacSema's Single-Station DownLoader/Recharger is a docking station that provides the necessary link between the host  computer and the reader, for sending and receiving information.

The Single-Station DownLoader also recharges the readers Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries.  In about 2 hours, a reader is  charged to approximately 50% to 80% of power, at which time the charge status LED on the DownLoader turns green.  As  long as the reader is sitting in the DownLoader, the battery will continue to trickle charge. The batteries cannot be overcharged.  An  RJ11 serial cable is used to connect the DownLoader to any device with a serial port, including a computer, a modem or a  printer.

MacSema offers a range of downloader/recharger products including the Micro DownLoader, Multi-Dock DownLoader/ Recharger (accommodates up to 256 MacSema readers at one time) and the S-10 Recharger (recharges up to 10 readers at  one time).
